Qal3WEB
Web application dedicated to managing quality assurance procedures for emission measurements, in compliance with EN 14181:2015.
It allows for the simplified and standardized organization of all operations required for the continuous monitoring of emission systems (CEMS), regardless of the type of instrumentation or data processing system used.
Strengths
Why QAL‑3 is important
QAL (Quality Assurance Levels) procedures are designed to ensure that a Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) maintains over time the stability, accuracy, and reliability of measurements required by current environmental regulations.
QAL‑3 represents the third level of quality assurance and involves the continuous periodic monitoring of the system’s operational performance after the initial installation and calibration phase. It ensures that the system is maintained under the same operational conditions as when it was installed and calibrated, continuously monitoring for any instrument drift or performance variations.
- Manual or automatic entry of instrument verification tests.
- Processing of control charts using standard statistical methods (e.g., CUSUM, Shewhart, or EWMA).
- Reconciliation and tracking of instrument drift or accuracy issues detected during checks.
- Generation and download of verification reports, calibration certificates, and control charts.
- Management of maintenance and instrument calibration activities.
- Definition and management of reference standards for gases and control parameters.
