Adopting a Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) Management Manual within plant operations not only ensures compliance with legal requirements but also allows for structured and high-quality management of the CEMS.

This training course enables all levels of the organization to quickly implement the procedures outlined in the Manual, making all CEMS management activities immediately operational.

The course is designed for all staff who actively interact with both the regulatory and operational aspects of CEMS management and is based on our extensive experience in providing operational support to clients.

Course Program

  • Current Regulatory and Legislative Framework
  • Guidelines for national and regional emissions monitoring
  • General content of the CEMS Management Manual as an operational protocol:
  • Definition of technical minimum, abnormal conditions, and plant malfunctions
  • Principles, measurement range, and uncertainty of analyzers/meters and acceptance criteria
  • Certification of analyzers/meters
  • Maintenance and calibration procedures
  • System verification procedures according to Legislative Decree 152/06 and amendments, and UNI EN 14181:15
  • Data validation, pre-processing, and processing
  • Management and reporting of non-compliance with regulatory/authorization requirements:
    • Emission exceedances
    • CEMS anomalies and data unavailability
    • Detailed handling of CEMS data and management software
